Sharon believes it is every Christian's obligation not only to win the lost to Jesus Christ, but to disciple younger members of the faith. In accordance with this belief, Sharon has worked since her conversion in 1975 to do just that. In addition to helping others make that first step into the faith, Sharon has discipled women one-on-one and has led bible study groups. Her aim is always to see others mature in their walk with the Lord. Sharon says, "No pretending, no pretense. I want my existence to count for God. One way I can see of making that a reality is to be real and honest about myself and my faith; doing my best to follow Christ as a flawed yet forgiven soul, so others can see what life with Christ in our present day and times is really all about." Sharon, her husband James, and her two sons, Matthew and Mark, live in South Gate, California.
